About Tatiana

Founded by personal need, Altrd States is a curation of practices that have helped me transform my innerworld and therefore my outerworld. From creating a healthy inner dialogue, to managing stress, moving from living in the mind to living in the body, dethawing and learning to work with and understand my emotions, to healing deep psychological wounds both personally and anscestrally, the practices I share with you are the anchor, the catalyist, and the life boat all in one. 

 

I began working with the healing arts as a Yoga Nidra guide in 2018. This is where I began to deepen my understanding of the nervous system and what happens when we truly bring the body into the parasympathetic, what deep rest feels like, how one can begin to work with the subconscious mind, and what it means to integrate the work. 

 

I struggled with terrible negative self-talk, low confidence, and self-worth that led me into several spirals and hitting an all time low in 2016….woooo so fun….Over time, Yoga Nidra initiated a subtle transformation. Self-compassion blossomed where negativity thrived, and anxieties lessened. I could handle stress without spiralling. This shift ignited a curiosity within me, prompting further exploration of various healing modalities

 

In late 2019, a facilitator's approach misaligned with my intuitive guidance, resulting in a disorienting experience. An experience that was too much, too soon and ultimately traumatizing. Years after this ceremony, I continued to feel unsafe in my own body. Holding a tension within that never dissipated. I became afraid of myself, my own psyche, and of spirit. I lived each day on edge, expecting the next ‘too much, too soon’ experience to be right around the corner.

 

Then, I found the Sacred Breath Academy. Their method of body-led, nourishing, supportive, parasympathetic driven breathwork journeys aided me in finally finding a way for my mind and body to process and let go of the stress and tension it had been plagued by. I found this style of breathwork to be powerful, yet gentle. Offering only what my nervous system and psyche were capable of holding. It helped me to recreate a sense of safety within, to learn to trust in myself, to trust life. Whether I need deep relaxation and mental clarity, or to work move through and integrate emotions and experiences, breath continues to be a powerful, yet kind teacher, and I am so grateful.

 

In 2023, I chose to continue my education in the healing arts training under the Sacred Breath lineage. Now, I weave together the tapestry of trauma-informed practices, Yoga Nidra's restorative power, and the transformative power of breathwork.

 

Life can be challenging enough. Learning the skills these practices offer has given me the opportunity to move through life with more grace, self compassion, and a general sense of sturdiness. And now, my purpose is to cultivate a sacred space for you to reconnect with your inner wisdom, your inherent healing potential, and the immense power that resides within. With integrity as my guiding principle, I hold space for you to trust your unique journey of self-discovery.
